HOW IT WORKS

The easy way to personalise prescriptions

Step 1: Order a DNA test

After a pharmacist or clinician orders a test, we’ll ship the kit to your branch or the patient’s home. With instructions to register anonymously on the iGene app or your dedicated pharmacy app.

Step 2: We process the sample

Your customer sends their saliva sample to iGene in a prepaid envelope. We analyse the DNA in our ISO-certified lab, and the genotypes are translated into drug sensitivity insights.

Step 3: See the dosing advice

The pharmacist or clinician who ordered the test receives a notification when the results are ready. View the patient’s genetic profile and dosing recommendations in the secure PGx Dose Support System.

Step 4: Share the results

Import the recommendations into your PMS or share them with the patient and prescribing clinician. You can also give the patient a summarised report via app or PDF in your own branding.

Is iGene certified for pharmacogenetic testing?

Yes, iGene is ISO 27001 certified, all genetic analyses are conducted in an ISO 15189-accredited laboratory, utilizing DNA Genotek saliva collection kits (ON-500 / ON-600) manufactured in compliance with ISO 13485.

Which labs analyze the samples?

We partner with Eurofins Genomics Denmark A/S, an ISO 17025 and ISO 15189 certified laboratory.

How long does it take to receive the results?

Results are typically available within four weeks from the date you send your sample.
